I often pass the Mountain Inst.on my way to the summit when in route to backpacking. Such a beautiful place to spend a day or a week.

I am going to the AHSP (Almost Heaven Star Party) beginning July 31,2008 and held at the Spruce Mountain Center location near Spruce Knob lake. They have a large main building set apart from several yurts and other small buildings and the Black Ridge Observatory. This location is not near Cherry Grove or Judy Gap. It is much nearer to Spruce Knob Lake. Please make an addition. I am sure the Mountain Institute people can give you the correct latitude and longitude.

I go every year for the Almost Heaven Star Party. I wish I could live there. The yurts and the surrounding area is incredibly tranquil, wonderful quiet, beautiful views. I'm a scientist and an atheist, but I have to say I can feel a special presence easing my soul. Get place, the staff at The Mountain Institute are wonderful people every year I've gone.
